Important Proposal To Improve Kings Lake HOA Documents
Posted on Jan 21st, 2019

At our next annual meeting YOU will be asked to vote to change the current way we update our HOA documents . Currently, any change requires 75% of all owners (a total of 890 votes) to approve of the change. However, the process as written makes any NONVOTING owner a NO vote making it virtually impractical to modify our documents.

We propose a change that will instead allow 75% of those voting in person or by proxy to amend our documents. This is a practical change that will enable modifications to be made and will require 75% of the active and voting members to make that modification.

Here are some of the reasons you should vote yes on this amendment:

  1. Keep our documents current with statues and case law.
  2. Reduce the present expensive and involved task of changing documents
  3. Approve amendments that our members may want in the future such as allowing modern roofing materials or the use of energy efficient improvements and changes requested by homeowners that protect our property values.
  4. Give our community more flexibility to keep up with progress and operate more responsively to owners.
We need your help and participation in this project.

WE NEED YOUR VOTE
AS WE EXPLAINED IF YOU FAIL TO VOTE IT IS REGISTERED AS NO.
HELP US CHANGE THIS CUMBERSOME AND INFLEXIBLE CONSTRAINT BY SENDING IN YOUR
PROXY OR ATTENDING THE ANNUAL MEETING. WITHOUT THE 890 VOTES WE WILL NOT BE
ABLE TO MAKE CHANGES THAT WILL PROVIDE FLEXIBILITY TO RESPOND TO YOUR NEEDS.
The board of directors unanimously recommends your approval and hopes you will respond.
PLEASE SEND IN YOUR PROXY OR ATIEND THE ANNUAL MEETING.
ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS TO SEND IN THEIR PROXY AS WELL.
